The Dwarven Runner

It's another stormy night, and conversation around the table is quiet. Eluvial has joined you for the evening, a short rest from his lessons in the woods with the Treeman Thousandrings. Mace holds a piece of raw meat to a bruised eye, trying to ease the swelling from a fist fight earlier in the day. Everyones thoughts are on the Daemon, and even the halflings, Soho and Patches, have fallen quiet and pushed half finished platters aside.

Suddenly, the tavern door slams open, whether from the force of the rain drenched dwarf entering, or from the wind, you cannot tell. He closes the door and shakes off his beard, removing his cloak as he steps towards the fireplace. "Tis wetter than a Krakens arse out there! Bar wench, some of your finest ale, and Dwarven, if you have." He stands for a moment by the fire, warming himself, and you can see he has travelled hard and light. He is, no doubt, a dwarven runner, a messenger from a Dwarven city up in the Vaults. The barmaid brings him an ale, and he drinks deeply, before giving her coin. "Pah! Not Dwarven by a long shot, but it will have to do. Is the miller around?"
"He is, Grofnil." Says Nicodemus, from his place alone at a table at the back of the room. The dwarf turns, but his expression lightens as he recognises an old friend. "But let him be, this is no storm to be out in."
"Pah, it ain't really that wet. I bring a message for the town." Grofnil takes out a parchment case of oiled leather and hands it to Nicodemus. Nicodemus takes out the letter and reads the message. "Ah, Blood Bowl is it?"
"Aye, and this time I hope you humans can muster a team that's not scared o' a leather ball!"

The letter reads:
To the villagers of Franz-se-Uitsig

According the traditions set by your fore-fathers and ourselves, we will meet apon your village green in three weeks for our annual Blood Bowl tournament. Let Man and Dwarf reforge the alliances of old with sport, beer and tales of old.

Into the Dragons Den

Excellent news! Eluvial and Mace made it into the dragons den and recovered a golden bow, material for some of my spells and some gold.

It appears the dragon, Veo Oqum Ucendi, shed more light on what we are up against. I have found no texts on the Weeping Death, but the fact that this entity is a demon of Khorne worries me no end.

The Mechinations of Chaos

Something stirs in the land. The temple, once quite they say, runs thick with goblins and other foul beasts. I have looked for a vision, a sign of things to come. I fear this vision may take my sanity.

Who is this priest of Sigmar, who is this elf, and what of this daemon? I know not. Neither do I know if these things have yet to come to pass, all I know is that a course of action I had wished to avoid must now be undertaken. We must enter the lair of Veo Oqum Uceidi.

With a heavy heart

The drawing of the 3

Eluvial found himself in the mood for a picnic with some friends. He was debating whether he wanted the dwarf to come along but made an error in judgement, caused by the side effects from the night before. They set out to find a nice secluded place in the nearby forest and ran into some unexpected creatures. These huge creatures went by the name of Deedle and Deedle. They were apparently looking for something called a DUM DUM. Why a giant needs a dum dum is beyond the scope of this journal and should be handled by a professional in the field of giant psychology.

After a very nice walk through the magnificent trees in this particular little forest we came to a group of foul goblins, with one in particular catching my attention. It was black and huge, seemingly cursed with some disease or disfigurement. We didn’t wait to ask it what was wrong, our thinking being, kill first and see a doctor later....

After fun was had by all, except for the gobo’s of course, the group of enterprising picnickers met a strange human female. She was a druid and looking for a holy place. Of all the humans, druids are most tolerated by my people, they have a love for the forest and all living things. After a very pleasant meal, and some healing for the dwarf, who by the way grumbled about all of it, we bid them farewell and left to follow a trail we had noticed earlier. After some very confusing tracks, to our shock, we discovered that the druids healer friend was more than she seemed. We raced back to confront them about it and found that the healer was actually a creature of CHAOS !!

Against my better judgement the human and the dwarf convinced me to let the despicable thing live, I put that down to my growing feelings of trust for the party I joined. I relented, and I should not have. The creature escaped and we made our way back to town. I had a lot to think about. Why do I trust these people so much? Why did I let Chaos survive, in a forest of all places? Who can I talk to about this......

Ghostly dreams...

Bad dreams this night, dreams of Chaos spreading over the land. Dreams of death, weeping widows and wounds.

I have no time to write of these things, we must find Becker in the woods, we fear for his life. Tomorrow hopefully I will be able to examine the pendant.

Goblins goblins everywhere

These guys from out of town are crazy, but I must admit I like their style. I still can't believe the Elf Aluvial would have insulted Grondi, only the most esteemed merchant from the Dwarven Hold in the Vaults. And then they took on a whole horde of goblins. I was seriously wounded in the fight, along with Soho, and young Jorge Dübers who came along. Their farm had been raided by the goblins during the feast we had to celebrate our successful hunt.

A wizard called Nicodemus is in town. I spoke briefly to him and he is mounting an expedition to the Dwarven ruin further up the river Sol.

The Boar Hunt

Ah, tis good to be hunting boar again. I look forward to a good meal back at the village. The black arrow we found in the boars flank doesn't bode well though. Best be on our guard.
